The Old West is Disappearing!

Apache River
Have you ever seen a red dawn sunrise cast it's light upon the peaks of the Rocky Mountains or watched the clouds turn pink and gold at sunset? You can expect to begin and end every day like that at the Ghost River Ranch.
The Ranch at Sunset

Clear blue skies cover Southern Colorado 300 days of the year here. Every now and then we experience nature's seasons in the gentle summer rain or a light winter snow but most of the year, it's clear and just plain peaceful. A refuge like this is what's missing in our busy lives today and the opportunity to own it continues to disappear as well.

To the west of the ranch lie the remains of a ghost town in Lascar, CO. A scene from just one of many chapters in the history of this great country.

Back in time, Native Indians hunted deer and elk up and down the Huerfano River and it's adjoining streams leaving arrow heads behind them for the finding. Listen closely and the winds will echo the sounds of wagon wheels carrying the westward bound pioneers of the past.
